The Haunted Magic of Vlad

Vlad has been performing for more than three decades, most of them in the company of things that ought to have stayed buried. His magic grows out of the Gothic and the old horror stories, the kind grown-ups once told to keep children out of cellars, and watching him work is a bit like watching a Stephen King novel take up sleight of hand. Bring a friend whose arm you can grab. He's with us for Halloween weekend, the only weekend of the year that would have him.

Wear a mask if you own one, whether it hides you or gives you away, and the more convincingly it suggests nightmares worth having, the better your odds of being rewarded for it. Arrive early and wander the Lord Baltimore first; the building has been standing since 1928 and earned its reputation honestly. Drinks and late-night bites are welcome in the theatre, which is more than we can say for some of the regulars upstairs.
