The Haunted Lord Baltimore: Our New Virtual Ghost Tour Is Live

The Lord Baltimore Hotel has plenty of stories to tell after dark. Now you can follow them without leaving home. The Haunted Lord Baltimore, our new virtual ghost tour, is live at Poe’s Magic Theatre for $7.

Based on Vince Wilson’s book, this self-paced experience brings together photographs of the hotel, ghost stories, historical chapters, and about 32 minutes of narration by Dominic. All 17 chapters include transcripts, so you can listen, read, or return to a detail that caught your attention.

Your journey begins beneath the lobby ceiling and moves through Versailles, the speakeasy, and Calvert Ballroom before continuing virtually to the eighth, sixteenth, and nineteenth floors. The last stop is Sky Bar. Along the way, meet the Gray Lady, the short and stocky cigar-smoking man associated with the ballroom balcony, Sam the bellhop, the maid said to tidy guest rooms, and Molly.

The stories have room to breathe. Between the haunted spaces, explore the hotel’s predecessor, construction, the temperance movement and Prohibition, and the Rubells’ restoration. The closing chapters return to the Great Depression and the family tragedy at the heart of Molly’s story. These are the hotel’s reported encounters and folklore, shared alongside the history of the places where they are told.
