Born in Baton Rouge and raised in South Bend, he discovered magic through his mother, who encouraged him to learn tricks by reading.
His performances have taken him from intimate stages to major theatres, including New York’s Tribeca Theater and Tennessee’s Grand Ole Opry. Jamahl joined Poe’s virtual show programming in February 2021.
