Magician, author and philosopher bringing thoughtful wonder to the stage.Dr. Larry Hass brings a philosopher's curiosity and a performer's sense of wonder to the art of magic. His performances invite audiences to look again at the ordinary and discover something extraordinary.
A former philosophy professor with a PhD, Larry created the Theory and Art of Magic program at Muhlenberg College, bringing leading magicians into an academic setting. His performing career has taken him to venues including the Magic Castle in Hollywood and the Wynn in Las Vegas.
Larry is the Dean of McBride's Magic & Mystery School and an author whose books explore magic as a meaningful performing art. His work includes Eugene Burger: From Beyond and Teaching Magic, written with Eugene Burger. Through his performances, books and teaching, he shares a lifelong fascination with how magic can move people as well as astonish them.
